Executive Vice President and Head - Wholesale Banking Credit

Skill:

·       Credit assessment and appraisal of obligors across Wholesale Banking, Treasury, Financial Institutions, Cross-Border, Mid Corporate, and Commercial sectors.

·       Implementing and administering the bank’s credit policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring adherence to internal standards, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.

·       Leading initiatives to enhance credit processes, automate workflows, and improve turnaround times for credit decisions.

·       Overseeing credit appraisal, loan review, compliance with policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements for the bank’s credit portfolio.

·       Experience in defining operating frameworks, creating a culture of continuous improvement, and managing credit risk within banking portfolios.

·       Strong knowledge of credit analysis, structuring limits, syndications, and loan documentation, with a deep understanding of economic trends and market developments.

·       Experience in overseeing credit appraisal functions, loan review, and compliance with various policies and regulations.

·       Proficiency in implementing credit analysis systems and quality assurance standards for loans and facilities.

Job Requirements:

·       Bachelor Degree

·       Minimum 15-20 years of extensive experience in the banking or financial sector, with substantial expertise in credit underwriting and management, particularly in the UAE.

·       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision-making at the executive level.

·       Knowledge of local and regional legal procedures related to lending and debt recovery, with a strong understanding of operational, legal, market, and regulatory risks.
