· Define and lead the company’s commercial strategy in alignment with the overall business goals and vision.
· Translate corporate, cluster and company strategies into detailed commercial initiatives.
· Develop market expansion strategies, focusing on growing operations in the GCC, Far East, and Africa regions.
· Identify new business opportunities in oil and gas survey, diving services, and related activities.
· Leads Business Development, towards building and maintaining relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
· Own the customer journey, ensuring a streamlined experience dealing with all investors, a partner or services provider. Oversee strategic partnerships and joint ventures to support expansion into new regions and service lines.
· Lead efforts to identify and pursue high-value tenders and contracts first within the oil and gas sectors, while expanding our presence in the larger energy sector.
· Oversee the preparation of pricing strategies, risk assessments, and competitive analysis for all tenders.
· Approve final tender submissions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability targets.
· Oversees the Tendering activities ensuring competitive, compliant, and commercially sound proposals are rolled out.
· Lead the Marketing initiatives to develop and implement marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and support business development efforts.
· Ensure alignment of the brand identity with parent company, while promoting the company’s capabilities in survey and diving services.
· Set revenue and profitability targets for the commercial team and monitor performance against these metrics.
· Drive cost-efficiency initiatives while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
· Collaborate with the Finance team to forecast revenue, manage budgets, and track the financial performance of commercial projects.
· Oversees monitoring of the commercial performance of existing company results against agreed benchmarks and KPIs.
· Oversees monitoring of pricing, market share development and commercial performance of competing companies.
· Establish commercial benchmarking.
· Takes ownership of the day-to-day management of the Business Development opportunities.
· Manages coaches and develops direct or indirect (dotted line) reports.
· Works together with Human Resources on recruitment and organizational restructuring efforts as required.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the oil and gas sector, with a focus on survey and diving services.
· Proven track record of driving business growth and entering new markets (GCC, Africa, Fareast).
· Extensive experience in leading tendering, contracts management, and business development teams.
· Experience launching international brands or a brand into new markets.
· Expertise in commercial strategy, tendering processes, and contract negotiation in the oil and gas sector.
· Strong understanding of offshore survey and diving services, including risk management and pricing strategies.
· Knowledge of regional market regulations and procurement processes, particularly in the GCC and Africa - excellent market knowledge, deep understand investors insights
· Requires excellent negotiation skills & the ability to build relationships with external parties.
· Ability to assess market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning to inform business decisions.
· Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, forecast revenues, and optimizes profitability.
